Dr. Ray P. Kamali is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist serving the San Diego and southern San Diego regions. Dr. Kamali and his staff offer a compassionate, supportive and professional environment that provides each patient with a personal approach to their health care. We offer our patients the latest advances in the rapidly evolving field of minimally invasive gynecological surgery in combination with evidence-based, safe obstetrics and gynecological care. Our warm, old-fashioned approach to care is what is most remembered by our patients.
Dr. Kamali received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from University of Toronto, where he graduated with honors with high distinction. He subsequently received his medical degree from Ross University school of medicine, graduating with high honors. He then completed his OB-GYN residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. Dr. Kamali is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Kamali is the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, and also maintains privileges in Paradise Valley Hospital. His special interests are in minimally invasive Gynecological surgery and he is specially trained in da Vinci robotic surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing soccer. He resides in Eastlake with his wife, son, and daughter.
